Gillian Gray
Mezzo Soprano, Conductor and Singing Teacher
Gillian trained with Kathleen Hearley and Louise Gibbs and more recently worked with vocal consultant Alison Pearce (Vocal Professor of the Royal Academy of Music and International Soprano Soloist). Gillian has a wide range of singing and conducting experience in both sacred and secular music. Her warm, rich voice is well suited to the more intimate settings of soirees and recitals, her particular interests being English song tradition, chamber ensembles, oratorios, church music as well as the lighter, popular repertoire. Gillian is also choir trainer at St. Michael's Church, Cheriton and chairman of the Pat Gray Arts (Music) and Rural Education Trust.

Singers' Masterclass
with Alison Pearce, International Soprano Soloist and vocal Professor of the Royal Academy of Music, and accompanist Benjamin Costello.
No Masterclass is currently being planned for 2018

A Masterclass for a maximum fo 10 singers.
Singers should bring two contrasting pieces to work on in the masterclass from the opera, oratorio or song repertoire. All periods and styles are acceptable. Two additional copies of each song should be provided, one each for the tutor and the accompanist. Singers are strongly encouraged to know their songs from memory as some movement may be incorporated into their sessions.
Observers are invited and encouraged to join in with the warm-up sessions during the day. A maximum of 20 observer places are available.
Lunch will be at the Ship Inn (a menu will be available on arrival); all other refreshments will be provided.
An informal Recital of selected pieces will conclude the day.
